not live out the 80
of Ilario Galati
I're Not Moving to Area 80 as they are the previous decade and Afterhours CSI or to the next. With
Franti and before CCCP, Litfiba and Aperture, the band and Tony Face Dome La Muerte was a small outpost in our music, creating a wonderful synthesis of many different styles and thus creating a truly international music.
Punk, garage, rock'n'roll, but also blues, psychobilly, psychedelic short, the lesson learned by heart the great classics in support of sound angry and spontaneous in a time when our country sounds in vogue were diametrically opposed to those that flowed from the amplifiers of Not Moving. However, the seminal role played by the band is obvious and, come to think, listen today live in this beautiful collection, limited edition published by Go Down Records, which had they been 'managed' better now there is no need to spend a lot of jokes for introduce them.
the same way, if they were born elsewhere, across the Channel or overseas, the lesson would have been a completely different influence.
Live in The 80's sounds just as you would expect a disc that sounds like this, and photographing the band during the crucial period, ranging from 82 to 87.
Years of Living Dangerously, playing just about anywhere (at the time of the homegrown rock band seems to have no problem playing under the Gothic Line!), And carrying on their shoulders the corpse of rock'n'roll.
Today it seems a joke and is good for Luca Frazzi, notes written in the booklet, in context: "Italy, the 80. Remember? Craxi, the Milan to drink, marry Simon Le Bon, the Vanzina, Marina Lante della Rovere, the Timberland, the Moncler, Crude-Faletti-Broad-Pistarino-Braschi. But even hardcore, post-punk, dark, garage, Rockerilla, the fanzines, combat system, the social centers. Two worlds at odds (...) A Apart from the good, the bad part. Not Moving the other. "
And those faded photographs depicting the band poses maudit today are essentially tenderness more mods that punk, the worries about Lilith, Dany D., Toni Face, Dome, and Severine, are all in those yellowed photographs that tell us much more than the simple story of a group of friends bound by the sacred fire of the music.
Turning to the contents of the disc, 24 tracks played with an air of frantic, fast riffs and haunting rhythms, lo-fi so that people who invented this category should be ashamed.
parade so these acid fragments, which you stick under your skin without physical hurt but did you get that sweet malaise tied nostalgia, even when, for reasons personal data, those years can not be said that the undersigned if you have lived.
