Secondly, the party needs of a community leader who has the task diligently to cure the relations with the press and all media (Communications Manager). This is one way to constantly monitor the media and another to be present expressing positions in a coordinated and not episodic.

The PD is a party where a lot of living souls. Our aim is to build an entity capable of aggregating all around a comprehensive modernization project that knows how to return this country to democratic participation and solidarity.
Pluralism, therefore, should be seen as the main asset of the PD, provided that the party knows how to properly handle and settle forms of participation and decision-making.
In the territory, in particular, the design of a monolithic party should be changed to a plural party admits that the dissent and called minority participation and discussion.
In particular, it must be allowed that some sectors - cultural or political - can also self-organize into clubs, provided that all are called to the policy formulation of the national party.
The main guarantee of pluralism, in our opinion, is the definition of procedures and rules for the conduct of political activity. We move, in fact, the awareness that the guidelines and all relevant decisions in the life of a great party should always be taken by the national coordination (expression of the whole party), while the management of daily choices can be exercised jointly by the Political Secretariat. The rules on the composition and functioning of these bodies, are therefore essential.
In this context the question arises of close coordination between the activities of the party and those of group council.
We believe it is necessary that the board's activities, while respecting the autonomy of the group, must be coordinated by the secretariat to convene the first meeting of institutional maturity.

For a long time PD discussed its role within the center. For a claim of self-sufficiency - advocated by a few, actually - is opposed to the concept of the new party who was the heir of DS and Margherita, reducing the role of a mere promoter of alliances.
Today, our party seems to have understood the importance of his organization and its growth. Only a strong PD in fact, can influence a coalition government with his reformist approach, his articulate and thoughtful approach to the problems of the country and territories.
It was also established the idea that PD is not, at present, the only party of the center and must engage in coalition building Government.
