Javier Saez and CIL CARRASCOSA
The ass is the great place of injury, the insult. As we see in many everyday expressions, anal penetration as a taxable person is at the center of social discourse as horrible, bad, worse. But today there are cultures that have been reappropriated abject and there have been known to make it a productive and positive.
In this book the authors make a comprehensive and entertaining tour around the ass and anal sex: its history, its values, how it organizes anal genders and sexualities, and how it is crossed by criteria of race, class and power. Since the complex anal sex in ancient Greece to the AIDS crisis, through the prisons, the bareback , Freud, butch lesbians , sodomites, Luis Aragones, the fist fucking or bears, This book traces the genealogy of one of the least explored areas for theory, but the busiest practice: the anal area.

Saturday February 19, at 20 pm in the Library Berkana (C / Hortaleza 64, Madrid). Presents the writer Eduardo Mendicutti , in the presence of the authors.
When I considered starting this job, I was fascinated by the stories of Paris and Berlin of the crazy 20, Brassai's images of the dance of the drag kings of modernity and Le Monocle, by stories about the Harlem of Gladys Bentley, the literary circle of Sylvia Beach, the Upper Room of Natalie Clifford Barney, Djuna Barnes, Romaine Brooks and many more photographs of Germaine Krull, Ilse Bing, or Claude Cahun, the photomontages of Hannah Höch, or the films of Leni Riefenstahl.
So I thought why Spain did not have these ancestors rebel against social mandates on the subject of gender and sexuality. Why no one had addressed the issue in depth. And I thought what could be due. Was clear: a civil war and almost forty years of Franco's dictatorship had buried their tracks.
But after several years of immersion in archives and newspaper archives, jumped from their shelves stories and images of those ancestors who sought a handful of modern women with names, who courageously defied social impositions series, taking advantage of the situation world of the interwar period, and the achievements of a nascent feminism.
The work presented here, weaves all these issues around a central axis, the inclusion of many women into the sport, an activity due to their active and public (not to mention the implications of bodily self-modification and self-representation), strengthens their identity disobedience. So, first we show a series of pictures of these mechanical Amazon, and other gear analyze their visual, political and social . Tatiana
